e-session ( engagement) w/ Melanie and John

John and Melanie flew into WNC from Arizona late Weds night and were good enough sports to start their e-session at 7 am Thursday. I think the effort was worth it for that good morning light. The Wedding was Saturday (the 26th), stay tuned for photos from the big day.

Fellow U2 fans Brian and Rebecca had an awesome wedding in Asheville April 12th. These are just a handful of the incredible images they have to create a killer album. I have to send out a big big thanks to Jill Schwarzkopf of Realities Photography for a giant favor with the special equipment needed to work in the low light of the ceremony. THANKS!! Also Zac Thomas did a bang up job as second shooter. "It was a beautiful day!"

Happy 12th Anniversary!

Ericka and I were married on April 14th 12 years ago. Oddly enough one of my fav singers Gillian Welch has a song called "April 14th" but it is subtitled "Ruination Day". I joke Ericka about it. But I think the song is about how Lincoln was shot on April 14th. Anyway Ericka and I are still happily married and we are great hiking partners, which is no small feat seeing how most of my hikes involve crawling on the ground and going off trail.

Studio Wed

Studio Wed is the hot new thing on the AsheVegas wedding scene. Created by Verge Events owner Nicole Riley, Studio Wed is a planning HQ for the discerning bride. Just 1 mile from Biltmore, brides can plan thier entire wedding from one hip and happening spot with help from expereinced wedding planners. A limited number of vendors are being hand selected to be represented at Studio Wed. I was privileged enough to be invited several weeks ago and I gladly accepted, now having a fantastic spot to meet brides. Current Photographers represented include myself, Corey McNabb Photography, Realities Photography, and Michael Juliano Photography.
